Responsibilities
Assist the General Counsel in managing legal and compliance matters, particularly related to SFC regulatory requirements.
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and provide advice on corporate, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Ensure the companyโs compliance with Hong Kong regulatory requirements, including SFC licensing.
Support the development and implementation of internal compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor and stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the business.
Assist in handling regulatory filings, reporting, and inspections.
Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Provide legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders when required.
Support other ad hoc legal and compliance tasks as assigned by the General Counsel. Assist the Business Manager in daily operations and administrative tasks
Requirements
LLB Graduate from a reputable university.
2-4 years of corporate law experience from a law firm or in-house role at a reputable investment or fund management firm.
Direct experience in handling SFC reporting
Strong knowledge of PE fund formation
Experience in handling deal terms
Strong knowledge of SFC and Cayman investment funds compliance requirements.
Eligibility to work in Hong Kong without the need for a work visa.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proactive and self-motivated with a collaborative working style.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in providing legal advice.
Familiarity with Hong Kong financial services regulations and corporate governance principles.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
