Our client is a global leader and innovator in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products. They are seeking a Trading Administrative Officer to join their Hong Kong office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that plays a critical role in supporting trading activities across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ideal candidate should have the initiative to drive improvements in processes and business performance, as well as the capacity to grow into a sourcing and procurement lead within the office.
Responsibilities
Manage trading activities, facilitating orders between the Hong Kong office, global subsidiaries, external manufacturers, and clients.
Receive orders from the China factory and third-party Asian manufacturers.
Draft and process purchase orders, proforma invoices, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
Track purchase orders and maintain clear communication between entities and customers.
Keep accurate transaction records, collaborating closely with the Financial Controller.
Lead product pricing in accordance with company policies.
Gather market intelligence to enhance trading activities.
Work with the General Manager to optimize trading decisions and drive business growth.
Proactively manage the order pipeline and assist Business Development Managers with product sourcing.
Liaise with procurement teams on raw material sourcing from Asia.
Communicate with manufacturing sites regarding pricing and logistics.
Organize and file trading documents, and assist with the annual audit.
Support the team with ad hoc projects as needed.
Business travel may be required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in international trading or manufacturing, particularly within a multicultural environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical sectors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Experience working with senior executives and managing complex projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to drive improvements in the trading processes and business performance.
Attention to detail and a willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
HK Resident is a must.
